So yes while I love to cook, I don't cook for us as often as I would like. Today was a different story. Eyes shot open at 6am today and all I wanted to do was make food so I shut them, told them it was Sunday a day of rest and started the food at 7am. Peaches and cream pie (for later) and crepes with fresh strawberry peach compote for breakfast came out. Both were edible. (6 ate the pie)
Round 2 came at lunch. A few weeks ago there was a massive power outage here in Maryland and a couple grocery stores lost all their cold perishable foods and a couple others sadly had to freeze their fresh crab to save it and then sell it for dirt cheap when power came back on, we bought that crab, today we ate that crab....

what's your recipe for your compote? It looks delish!
um 15 strawberries and 2 peaches diced, sugar to taste, put it all in a pot on med/low heat and let it sit, stir so it doesn't burn and use within the week. Its very difficult! :)
