The Best Man

We had a very busy last week! Blue and Gold Banquet http://troop1341.blogspot.com/ was Wednesday night and along with the decorating, setup, organizing, and clean-up...we got to cook to. 40 lbs of pulled pork and my house still smells a week later. The evening was great, the scouts had a blast and Nathan did an amazing job running his first big activity as the new Cub Scout Master (yes he couldn't find his shirt)
So with the scouts done for the moment we had just enough time to marinate the steaks, whip up some creme brulee, and cut some kick-a homemade fries for the bachelor party for Nate's old roommate Brandon Thursday night. I don't really know how it went (shocker I was not invited) but it was the official christening of Nate's grill and it smelled better than the pork! Friday brought a wedding cake for me and setup for Brandon's wedding for Nate. Oh and a meltdown. I wanted a new pretty something to put on for the wedding because all my dressy outfits are beyond old and boring me!! So I lost it because it was 10:pm Friday night and I realized I was going to have to wear boring one more time. Tear. Saturday came early and Nate and I were out the door to go to Brandon and Mary's sealing.
It was beautiful and a privilege for us because it was the first sealing we have been to since ours. We were very nostalgic all day. Nate was the best man
(of course I think he is the BEST man every day but I suppose I'm bias) and gave a wonderful speech during the reception, he even got choked up. The wedding was beautiful and it was a perfect way to spend a Saturday, reminiscing about us last year.
By the end of the day we were exhausted and the day after, we could barely move. Couldn't have asked for more.
