D.I.Y.

For months I have spent minutes each morning trying to find the perfect accessory, when found, 9 time out of 10 it is tangled with 13 other necklaces so I leave necklaceless. Pain! I hate jewelry boxes, they are often so ugly and confusing with slots and drawers that never seem to really do their job. So with my dear Nathan out of town until Monday :( (he was supposed to be home tonight) I did this with my time:
1. Dumped out jewelry on bed
2. got a wooden wine box
3. got some tacks
4. pushed tacks into box
5. hung up my jewelry
6. screwed 2 screws into the back
7. tied a ribbon between the screws
(picture frame wire would've been ideal)
8. hung it on the wall

I am content with my rustic solution and I have killed 2 birds with one stone: jewelry box at eye level!! and "art" to cover the negative space left because I transfered my Paris Pics to the kitchen. I am so productive with Nathan gone, he completely distracts me. (and thats a good thing)

Nathan can't possibly be as distracting as a baby, nevertheless, that is awesome!

I might just copy you because I have the same problem with my jewelry and couldn't bring myself to buy an ugly metal jewelry tree, or what ever the crap they're called.

See you tomorrow!

That is the perfect solution even with young kids! Often jewelry boxes are tempting to small hands, but on the wall, up high, out of reach is perfect!

You're brilliant...I need to see you more often, in hopes some of it will rub off on me :) Well, that and I like being around you!
