She said, "I think I'll go to Boston"

November, in a few not nice words, sucked ____. Nate was in Oklahoma all month, we spent Thanksgiving at our respective houses, and I am sure there were other things but really? do you want to read about the misery? Didn't think so. On to the sunnier.....the weekend after Nathan came home he took me to Boston. We spent the weekend at the usual stops, Quincy Market:
His breakfast: bacon, eggs, hashbrowns Her breakfast: eggplant moussaka, spanakopita
Nate lending a hand to the street acrobats Nate lending Nate a hand

A little stop at Mike's Pastry (not the best but a bit of a landmark)
A lobster roll and a pistachio cannoli

Scenes from the city....

Just a little recharge...

Of course Boston was charming, it's a port city with narrow streets, old buildings, and an accent all of its own. It is small enough to walk from end to end and yet around every bend lies something new and beautiful.

Day 2:

Emptied out the minibar to make room for the leftovers, lobster roll at 7:am=bliss. (whoever thinks a green smoothie, some wheat grass, or a tasteless bran something is the best way to start the day..wrong)

Have no fear the lobster tail was not my breakfast, it was simply my amuse bouche, this was the real breakfast

His:bacon wrapped scallops Hers:asiago bagel with cream cheese (there wasn't enough cream in the lobster roll to satisfy my needs)

The day was done before we knew it and we were off to the airport. 1 cancelled flight due to "weather", 27 unspoken profanities mentally directed at Airtran, a last minute hotel, and 4 hours of shotty sleep before hopping on a plane, and we were home sweet home.
